RS Tuner Chip is a full-source vehicle-bound drift controller built for FiveM. Instead of forcing one generic handling setup onto every car, each drift profile works from the vehicle’s existing stock handling and applies controlled adjustments on top of it.

Install the tuner chip into a vehicle, choose your preferred drift profile, toggle drift mode when you want it, and return to the vehicle’s original handling when you are finished.

🚗 8 Drift Profiles

Choose between eight different driving styles:

  • 🏁 Balanced Street — controlled street drifting with predictable recovery
  • 🎮 Arcade GTA Native — GTA-style drifting blended with additional handling control
  • 🇯🇵 JDM Technical — responsive technical drifting designed for tighter transitions
  • 💪 Muscle Torque — stronger power delivery with heavier rear-wheel behavior
  • 🔥 Takeover Angle — aggressive angle-focused setup for larger slides
  • 🚔 Pursuit Hybrid — faster, more controllable drifting for higher-speed driving
  • ⭐ Rockstar Native — lightweight profile built around GTA V native drift tires
  • ⚡ Native X — native drift tires combined with a unique low-speed angle assist for sharper initiations and smoother recoveries

🔧 Vehicle-Bound Tuner Chip System

The tuner chip is installed directly onto the vehicle.

Players can:

  • Install a tuner chip using an inventory item
  • Remove the chip using a separate remover item
  • Enable or disable drift mode without uninstalling the chip
  • Change between installed drift profiles
  • Restore the vehicle’s original handling
  • Check the currently active tune and live drift status

Owned vehicles can retain their installed tuner configuration when the configured framework and bridge provide a stable vehicle ID.

🎛️ Custom Drift Controller UI

A dedicated controller interface gives players quick access to every available drift mode without forcing them through complicated configuration menus.

Each profile includes its own visual presentation and driving characteristics.

Default controls:

  • F5 — Toggle Drift Mode
  • F10 — Open Drift Controller
  • /driftstatus — View current chip/profile status

FiveM key mappings allow players to rebind supported controls.

🧠 Stock-Relative Handling

RS Tuner Chip does not simply paste the same handling values onto every vehicle.

The system captures the vehicle’s current handling and applies bounded profile adjustments relative to that vehicle.

This helps preserve the personality of different cars while still creating noticeably different drift styles.

When drift mode is disabled, the original vehicle handling is restored.

🛞 GTA V Native Drift Tire Support

Selected profiles can use GTA V’s native drift tire system together with additional steering, traction and powertrain tuning.

Native drift tires are automatically managed by the active profile and restored correctly when the tune is disabled.

🔩 Customs Integration

Custom mechanic/customs resources can integrate directly with RS Tuner Chip.

Allowlisted server resources can:

  • Check whether a chip can be installed
  • Install a tuner chip through a mechanic/customs workflow
  • Roll back an installation when a work order fails

This makes it possible to sell tuner-chip installation as part of a larger mechanic or vehicle-customization system.

🔒 Built With Server Validation In Mind

Important tuner actions are validated server-side.

Installation, removal and profile changes verify conditions such as:

  • Vehicle identity
  • Current driver
  • Vehicle class
  • Vehicle speed
  • Routing bucket
  • Inventory requirements
  • Installed chip state
  • Allowed drift profiles

Persistent owned-vehicle installations depend on the configured framework providing a stable owned-vehicle ID through rs_bridge. Vehicles without one can operate with session-based state.
