A configurable FiveM seatbelt and harness controller with live strap placement, separate buckle/unbuckle gestures, synchronized appearance and character-specific presets.
I built RS Seatbelt for servers that want visible, customizable seatbelts without replacing their entire HUD, inventory or vehicle system.
Features
B-key seatbelt toggle with native in-game buckle and unbuckle audio, optional layered sounds, and a configurable warning icon and reminder chime.
Separate fastening and removal animations. The default removal gesture uses
missfam3 : react_incar_brace_enter_f.Visible strap prop attached to the seated player, including nearby-player cosmetic synchronization through OneSync state bags.
In-game Alignment Studio (
/rsbelt,/rsbeltalign) with three-axis movement, rotation, fine numeric adjustments, preview, animation testing, orbit camera and saved positions.Personal and shared libraries for props and animation clips. Owners can publish a server-wide preset, or permit personal appearance, alignment-only or server-only modes.
Harness integration with a cancellable 5-second install/removal progress sequence and server-confirmed inventory wear before protection is enabled.
JSON persistence by default, with optional
oxmysqlstorage and SQL install file.Configurable crash thresholds, strap offsets, keybind, reminder timing, wear rate and editor permissions.
Framework and inventory support
Qbox + ox_inventory
QBCore + qb-inventory or ox_inventory
ESX + native inventory or ox_inventory
ox_lib is required. QBCore and ESX inventory adapters require validation against your installed versions/forks. Standalone is not supported. A supported harness item must be configured in the selected inventory; the included INSTALL.md explains each supported path.
Requirements
FiveM with OneSync for nearby-player strap appearance
ox_lib
One supported framework and inventory adapter as listed above
Optional: oxmysql for SQL storage
Install as rs-seatbelt, after framework and inventory. Stop other seatbelt controllers first. This resource does not require any external rs_bridge script.
